This previous week was really difficult for me. I have not been able to get a lot of work done on my actual game and I am really frustrated by that. There is a lot of stress on my shoulders and that has held me back quite a bit. What I have actually been able to accomplish has to do mostly with code and game mechanics, so I wont go into a lot of detail. I did fix another problem from last week involving invisible barriers not working so that is one win. I figured that it would probably just be better to create a box and just delete it's rigid body so it was just left with a box collider. Besides coding, I did work a little bit on the character model and level design, making 3D models for a given level such as trees or street buildings. However, the assets I have created are not yet finished and are not good enough to include in this post.
For next week I will...

This past week has been a mad scramble to get things together. I have been working on a lot of things from collage applications and teacher recommendation letters to friends birthdays and school events. This is the only time I have really had to sit down and get work done, I feel kinda bad for not making a post on Friday even though I had plenty of time to do so. I will spend the rest of today fixing things and posting my work here. Hopefully I can get what needs to be done in so I can further work on character models.
Next week I will be working on character designs and models as well as dialog boxes. The other day a student that I was student teaching for asked me if I could teach her how to animate. I have had few previous experiences with teaching besides what I have done so far this year as a student teacher, but I have found that teaching is actually something that may be interested in (be it as a teacher or just tutoring). Anyway, she was interested in animation, a topic I have little experience in, and wanted me to help her because of how "good I drew". Through this experience I was able to get a look into how younger artists see art or draw contrary to how I do so now. This was an important experience because I realized that if I were to market future games toward kids I should draw the art in a way that appeals to them that is not over complicated and reflects what they can do themselves.
This is the third week back in class and I am still moving slowly. This week I have not been working specifically on my game (which I really need to do), but instead have been making artwork for my portfolio and learning how to really use my drawing program since I have recently upgraded it. I have found out that not only can it animate and import 3D models, but it can also import entire animations for me to reanimate. I am excited to get to work on my game but I realize now that I don't have a plan solid enough to work off of. That is definitely something I need to work on over the next week.
For next week I hope to accomplish the following;
With week 2 over, we have many things that i would like to touch on. First of all, I spent the first half of the week playing around in Unity trying to figure out it's limitations. the rest of the week I spent designing my main character model. I still have a lot to do but i must say this week was quite productive for me.
For next week I plan to;
It is the first week back at school! I have started again in Unity with my game and I have already run into some problems regarding what I want to do. I am not entirely sure if Unity supports the file format I want to use, so I may have to rethink what I will be doing for my game. For starters, I am just testing small lines of code and cameras for my game. Using a unity preset for a character model, i was trying to figure out how to center the camera to the character and have it follow the character around.
For next week, I hope to accomplish the following:
