We have finally begun working in Unity! So far it seems pretty easy to use, the interface is pretty familiar and laid out quite well. when working with scripts, i have found that i have had little errors and when I did I could easily find where I messed up. I'm sure this will change in the future and become much harder as the amount of code in each material increases but for now it seems pretty straight forward. So far I have only really made one game, which was a simple ball rolling game, but getting used to the interface was a breeze

Not that many changes this time because of what I have been going through and the fact that I don't have any jpg pictures of my work and my internet refuses to work. I appologise for the lack of content, but things have not been very productive for me. I will indeed soon add what I need to do this acts as a filler in the mean time. I will say yet again sorry to my teacher who is expecting more but I really can do nothing to give you more. I will not go into much detail as no one wants to hear it, but things have been tough and I'm doing my best to get through it. I just hope others can understand.
Yet again we return to 3D modeling! A skill that seems to be of great importance in game making. We are working with particle effects which I don't really see myself using much while making a game. Sure I may eventually use it to make some sort of wind effect but to be completely serious, I'm probably going to be making a 2D game and only use 3D elements when doing layouts for certain levels or perhaps cut scenes in my game. When I look back over this year and try to decide what was the most important concept I have learned about making games, it would probably be something to do with video and sound editing. Honestly, if we hadn't done that unit the sounds in my pitential future game would sound unprofessional at best. I feel this way because before then I had no real experience with either video or sound editing (besides with windows movie maker, which doesn't count). Also, if I ever decide to make animations by myself (which is quite likely), the tools I learned in these programs will definitely give me some leeway into making that. Students of next year should NOT be left out on this unit because honestly it may be the most important one for some people.
